DREYFUS, FERDINAND:
French politician and deputy; born at Paris May 5, 1849. He became editor of the "Siècle," and was elected by the Republican party (March, 1880) as district deputy of Rambouillet (Seine-et-Oise). He was reelected in August, 1881, but lost his seat in 1885, and was defeated again in 1889. He is the author of the "Manuel Populaire du Conseiller Municipal" (Paris, 1884).
