Son of Uzziel; prince of the Kohathites Who bore the sanc-tuary and its furniture during the wandering in the wilderness (Num. iii. 30, 31). His descendants helped to bring the Ark to the city of David (I Chron. xv. 8), and aided in the cleansing of the Temple for Hezekiah (II Chron. xxix. 13).
