Dwelling-place of the Amorites when the four kings made their invasion and fought with the five kings (Gen. xiv. 7 [A. V. "Hazezon-tamar"]). In II Chron. xx. 2 it is identified with En-gedi, where the Ammonites, Moabites, and others met before going out to battle against Jehoshaphat.
